Identify a CNC Machine
Use the model plate, control, spindle or chuck, travels, table, tool interface, axis layout and option hardware to identify a machine accurately.
Do not open energized electrical cabinets or enter hazardous areas to obtain identification photographs.
Photograph the evidence
Capture the whole machine, model and serial plates, control badge and software screen, spindle taper or chuck, tool changer, electrical plate, option labels, cabinet interior from a safe de-energized condition, and included tooling.
Record exact text
Transcribe model suffixes, serial number, control designation, voltage, phase, full-load current, spindle rating, date codes and option labels. One missing suffix can change travels or compatibility.
Separate machine builder from control builder
A machine may use a Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Heidenhain or other control while the mechanical platform comes from another manufacturer. Research both.
Confirm through manuals and geometry
Compare the plate data and physical layout with official manuals, archived brochures and parts diagrams. Do not identify a machine from paint color or a marketplace title alone.
Compare complete descriptions, photographs, included tooling, freight terms, control condition, and seller history. A listing title is not an inspection report.
